About the event
Military and TV Historian Andy Robertshaw and his team have created a replica WW1 trench system at the Centre for Military Archaeology in Kent. There is no need to book in advance, just bring your family and friends along for a fascinating day out and experience what life was like in a WW1 Trench 1st hand with our costumed tour guides.
You can also experience our above ground officers dugout along with some of our new projects including a working aldershot oven and newly completed ww2 anderson shelter.
Last entry at 3:30pm. Entry is £5 per person and all proceeds from ticket sales go into our future projects on the site.
If you want to get involved, ask us about volunteering!
*Please note access into the trench can be slippy and is not ideal for those with severe mobility issues - there is a viewing platform above the trench however, which gives you a good vantage point from which to view the trench and talk to the guides. The trench is located within woodland.
